Elvan Ünlü is a successful photographer specializing in food photography, culinary photography and portraits. Working with restaurants, well-known Dutch chefs and pastry chefs, she creates images that not only capture dishes, but also convey atmosphere, craftsmanship and story. She also regularly photographs people, preferably in combination with food, giving her work a recognizable and personal signature.

Elvan is also working with her good friend and cultural all-rounder Aysel Kaya on the project Tirit & Babuko, the taste of heritage: a storytelling, photo and exhibition project about the rich food culture of Turkey. In it they record culinary traditions, memories and customs of Rotterdammers with roots in Turkey.
